Nasrin’s secret
When she was eight years old, Nasrin discovered that a bag could make her happy. The door of the house had just closed behind her and the chaotic streets of Teheran were ready to swallow her, when suddenly she had an idea. She dropped into her shoulder bag the long veil which her mother carefully arranged on her head every morning. She also put away in the bag the embarrassment, frustration and envy for the long, thick hair loose on her classmates’ shoulders. When she returned from school, she took out the veil, put it on, and it seemed lighter. From that day on, Nasrin was happy.
