Wilber Mestre does not know which dream Gabriela has woven on her mochila, but it might be the same dream all Arhuacos have: re-conquering the sacred lands of their ancestors. In order to fulfil it, he left the village and went to live among the white blocks of flats and crowded streets of Valledupar, capital city of the Cesar province. From his office windows, Wilber sees the dark shape of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta rising from the Caribbean Sea up to nearly six thousand metres. According to indigenous peoples, this is where the creation of the world began.
