Tokyo, Japan
If a man alone, in the crowd…

Number one: nobody ever brushed against me. Ten days standing straight as a pole in the middle of an unstoppable human flow, without even one passer-by touching me. I think Tokyo is the only metropolis in the world where something like this could happen. At the beginning I could barely believe it. I was in Ginza, its smartest neighbourhood , with eight designer-shopping streets, ten thousand stores one after the other. Standing at the busiest crossroads, the Yon-chome, thousands of women in designer clothes and men with ties passed me by as they went about their ginbura, or stroll.
